Why do I need a wedding planner/coordinator for my wedding, vow renewal, reception or rehearsal dinner on Kauai?
A Wedding planner oversees the arrangements of your wedding or vow renewal leading into the event day. Your wedding planner determines the overall time line of the day and is also your liaison with all professional vendor services arranged for, or by the clients in accordance with the clients requests. Kauai Aloha Weddings has years of experience in suggesting the best venues for your event, the most experienced professionals in photography, video, music, floral decor, catering, transportation, and just taking the stress off your hands in planning a destination wedding.
When should I book my Kauai Wedding or Kauai vow-renewal?
Most of our weddings and vow-renewals are scheduled 2-12 months in advance although some are reserved less than a week. It is suggested that you book your special day as early as 6-12 months before the event day, if you wish to reserve a particular date, time and site location.
Weddings and vow renewals are scheduled daily. Weddings and vow renewals scheduled on Sundays, are normally performed in the late afternoon. Weddings & vow renewals scheduled on Holidays (Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) are charged a Holiday Rate which will be added to your package. Full payment for these Holiday weddings and vow-renewals must be received 60 days prior to event date.
How do we obtain a Marriage License for our Kauai Wedding?
Obtaining a Marriage License on Kauai is a very simple process. We will set up this appointment for you once you have booked your wedding with us. There are no blood tests required and no paperwork that must be sent in advance of your scheduled license appointment. You both will need to appear before a license agent with proper photo identification. The marriage license application is a simple form that needs to be completed by both the bride and groom on line prior to your wedding date. By completing this marriage application on line it saves clients time when meeting in person with a license agent on Kauai.
The marriage license agent will verify all information on this form with you both on your scheduled appointment date, and issue you the marriage license. The marriage license is good for 30 days in the State of Hawaii. You will need to obtain the marriage license in the State of Hawaii prior to your scheduled wedding not in the State or Country you reside in. How do we obtain a Beach Permit (ROE, right of entry permit) for our Wedding or Vow Renewal?
Beach weddings and vow renewals that are held on Kauai Beaches involve obtaining a beach permit prior to the event date. Your wedding planner will obtain this permit for you and go over all details with you on the permit process and all guidelines. The permit process involves: A fee based on number of square footage, liability insurance, tax map key of the beach location for your ceremony. Beach permits are issued for no more than 30 people attending your beach wedding; with a 2 hr limit.
What happens when it rains on the event day?
Kauai Aloha Weddings offers the following options for you as we do check the weather forecast leading up to the event day.
*Move your ceremony to a church provided the church is available and the Minister officiating over your ceremony has agreed to this. We ask that the bride and groom extend a donation to the church.
*Move the wedding to a drier location if time permits.
*Postpone your wedding to another day, provided all vendors involved are available and agree to this.
*Work around the weather using umbrellas.
Are Rehearsals offered?
Wedding rehearsals are offered at an additional fee should clients desire one. It is suggested that clients having a wedding and reception at a church or private venue may want to consider this option. This insures that all involved: bride and groom, bridal party, minister, wedding planner, photographer and musicians are familiar with the logistics leading into the event day.
What form of payment are accepted by Kauai Aloha Weddings?
Kauai Aloha Weddings does not accept credit cards. Payments must be made in the form of a personal check, money order, cashiers check, travelers checks, or cash. Full payment of your requested services must be received 30 days prior to your event date. For Holiday Weddings & Vow Renewals full payment must be received 60 days prior to your event date. All prices are subject to the Hawaii State Tax.
Non refundable Deposits will be applied to the total cost of your event.
Cancellation fee(s) apply.
What happens if I cancel my wedding or vow-renewal?
The non refundable deposits(s) collected will not be refunded should any cancellation occur after deposits have been received by Kauai Aloha Weddings. Should any cancellation occur 30 days prior to your scheduled event date, no monies will be refunded that have been collected. All vendors hired through Kauai Aloha Weddings will be covered under our umbrella of liability insurance coverage.
